Introduction

This is going to be my attempt to enter the blogosphere and add my confused noise to those already out there. I am not sure yet what this will look like, so I won't worry about it now. For the moment, this is me, Caitilin, in South Dakota, at the beginning of the 21st Century, at the moment when the climate is beginning to change. (Isn't that an encouraging thought!)

yes. i will be here. at 73, it is wise to look back---a retrospective teaches us much . those who do not know their past are condemed to repeat their mistakes, to paraphase santayana.

i have never left the anglican church. but with entire family catholic prudence might dictate a minimal change. john/jack

Caitilin, glad we found each other. The Apologia is a bit difficult, but it gives a good feel for religion in 19th century England. It's kind of interesting that most of these Anglo-Catholics go most of the way together, but part on whether to stay Anglican or go RC. It is an issue still alive today. If you get a chance look on internet about Keble{ and Anglican Saint if they had such}--my favorite of theOxford group or Pusey the best theologian of the group, but a very 'dry' writer. John

Caitilin, I always look for and enjoy your comments. Caitilin, family is so important. Maybe there are other reasons but this is paramount. I have other stories I will write about. I love the Episcopal Church and have never been disappointed in that Church---well maybe a time or two. But the whole family goes one place and I another. Difficult. But still have not made decision. Probably need to get on it. With thanks and respect to you and yours. Jack

Caitlin,

Is your blog private or are there simply no posts past the introduction? I hope you post some thoughts; I'd love to read them!
